Choosing an Infertility Doctor

How To Choose An Infertility Specialist

When it comes to realizing your dream of starting or continuing your family, choosing an infertility specialist is one of the most important decisions you can make. Before selecting a reproductive medicine practice, it’s a good idea to consider the qualifications of its physicians, including their board certifications, experience, reputation, equipment and operating room privileges. Ask yourself how comfortable and confident you would feel entrusting them with not only your reproductive health, but also with your personal and emotional concerns.

You also may want to consult your gynecologist and primary care physician, as well as any family members or friends who have received treatment for infertility. Location is another important consideration, since some treatments require frequent office visits during various times of the day.

At Abington Reproductive Medicine, we are especially proud of the thousands of referrals we have received from physicians seeking the right fertility center for their patients. In fact, some of these same physicians and scientists have been our patients too. Patients have come to us locally, regionally, and from many areas of the U.S. and around the world, including from England, France, South and Central America, Canada, Hungary and Israel. We accept most major insurance plans, and if you do not have insurance coverage, we will work with you to develop a cost-effective treatment plan.
